2009 Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology

Today's prize announcement is worth reading since it involves some cool chemistry and biology.

    Thanks Ross. Australia's first woman nobel laureate too I hear!
    That link says their work on the protection of DNA from degradation "has stimulated the development of new therapeutic strategies". I am fairly sure this must just mean "has stimulated new ideas about how new (yet to be developed) therapies MIGHT work". Anyone agree or disagree?
